HandHeld Temperature Probe (Calibration)

If your probe temperature seems to be off by less than 10ºF or 5ºC, please follow the steps below to calibrate your probe; otherwise contact PathSpot Support at support@pathspottech.com. If your thermometer is within the measurement accuracy or ±0.5℃/±1.0℉ do not proceed with the calibration as this is an acceptable range.

Your probe is reading values incorrectly.

1. Fill a large container with ice, then add clean water until the container is full. Stir well and let the mixture sit for a minute or two to stabilize.

2. Place the thermometer's probe into the ice water, making sure it doesn't touch the sides or bottom of the container.

3. Hold the thermometer in place for 30 seconds or until the reading stops moving.
4. If the thermometer doesn't read 32ºF, then press and hold the button for 2 seconds to enter
the menu for function setting.
5. Press the button 5 times until you get to the CA setting.

6. Press the or button to decrease or increase the value. You will be adjusting the value until you get the difference between the value you saw on the probe and 32ºF or 0ºC.

  • For example, if your probe displayed 35ºF when completing the ice bath temperature measurement, the value you type on the CA setting screen should be -3ºF so you can lower the value to 32ºF.

7. Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to quit and save changes. (All changes will be automatically saved if there is no operation in 30 seconds.)

8. Repeat steps 1. to 3. and make sure the thermometer is reading 32ºF.
