Temperature Sensors: Creating New Categoires

🌡️ Organize Your Properties Sensors with Custom Categories

Better organize and reflect your sensors on the Sensor Overview page by creating tailored categories that suit your needs!

✅ Prerequisites

Before you get started, make sure you have:

• An active PathSpot Dashboard account

• View & Edit permissions for Sensors

🛠️ Steps to Create or Edit Sensor Categories

1. Log in to your PathSpot Dashboard.

2. Navigate to either:

   • Sensor Overview, or

   • Sensor List

3. To edit a sensor:

   • From Sensor Overview: Click the sensor name to open the Edit Sensor page.

   • From Sensor List: Click the ellipsis (...) on the far right of the sensor row and select View/Edit.

     
     
     

4. On the Edit Sensor page, locate the Category field in the top section of the sensor details.

5. Type in the category name you want to create or use. Click Create if it doesn’t already exist.

6. Scroll to the bottom and click Save.

7. After saving, perform a hard refresh in your browser (or log out and log back in) to see your updated sensor category reflected in the Sensor Overview.

📝 Considerations:

• ⚠️ Can't edit the Category field?

  • Confirm internally that your profile should have the edit permissions.

• ℹ️ Unit Type is not editable — this field is used to for internal purposes.
